The Black Indigeneity Season is focused on the journey every African on american shores must eventually take: SANKOFA. It explores what that journey means and how it manifests emotionally, spiritually and physically.

She Echoes on the Vine

explores the journey of a dark-skinned Black woman working to understand the untold stories of her grandmother’s history to provide greater context, understanding, and strengthening of her own life experience through spiritually-based therapeutic interventions. This work taps into the contexture of Black identity, and the nuanced journey through Black mental health, so that dark-skinned Black women and girls will more authentically see themselves represented.
